Tips for Wearing a Long Blue Ballgown Wedding Dress
I purchased this stunning teal blue off-the-shoulder ballgown for my June 2026 wedding, and from the moment I slipped it on, I truly felt like royalty, a princess on my special day! Everywhere I turned, I received endless compliments on my unique blue wedding dress, and I could not stop smiling all day long.

I am absolutely in love with this gown. There are still so many photos I wish I had captured on my wedding day, so I fully plan to pull this beautiful dress out again soon for an extra bridal photoshoot!

If you’re considering ordering this style, I have a few honest tips I want to share to help you prepare. I highly recommend pairing it with a 4-tier petticoat underneath.

This gown features a very long, full tulle train and voluminous skirt.

I wore heels on my wedding day with only a 3-tier petticoat, and I spent so much of the reception carefully lifting my skirt to avoid tripping.

Whether you’re tall or petite, opt for that fuller 4-tier petticoat to hold the fabric up nicely. If you are shorter in stature, you may also want to get the dress hemmed for extra peace of mind.

Overall, I am incredibly satisfied with my blue wedding dress. A fun little detail: I gained 10 lbs leading up to my wedding. I ordered my regular size 10/12, and the dress still fit me perfectly with plenty of comfortable wiggle room!

I danced, hugged guests, and celebrated for hours without feeling restricted at all. I was so comfortable the entire day.

Huge praise and gratitude to the designer for crafting such a breathtaking, well-made gown. Choosing a blue wedding dress instead of traditional white was one of the best decisions I ever made, and I will cherish these memories in this teal princess gown forever.
