Affordable Long Sleeve Wedding Dress – My Real 2020 Wedding Story

I don't usually post stuff like this, but I saw Kemedress was doing some giveaway thing for brides who share their stories, and I figured why not. Worst case, nothing happens. Best case, free stuff. So here goes.

2020 was a mess. We had this whole big wedding planned, and then COVID hit and we had to push it. But we didn't want to move our actual date, so we just did a tiny thing with like 10 people in my parents' backyard. I still wanted a real wedding dress though. Not something crazy expensive because it wasn't even a real reception, you know? But I didn't want to wear a white cocktail dress either. So I went online and found this long sleeve one.

The sleeves are lace, which I wasn't sure about at first because I have bigger arms and lace can sometimes dig in. But it actually looked nice. The skirt is A-line, pretty flowy, not too puffy. Had a little train too. I did my photos under some trees with white flowers and the dress matched the whole spring vibe. That part I was happy about.

I'm usually a 14/16 in regular clothes, so I got a 16. It fit fine but I still had to get stuff fixed. The sleeves were tight around my armpits so she had to let those out a bit. Also hemmed it because I'm short, and added a bustle so I could walk without stepping on the back. That's about it. Nothing crazy.

The ordering part was fine. I asked them a bunch of questions before buying because I was nervous about ordering online, and they replied pretty quick. That helped.

It's been a few years now. I still like the photos. The dress didn't cost much but I don't regret it. If you're looking for something affordable, just don't let the low price scare you off. Some of them are actually decent. That's all.
